This website is dedicated to my father who transferred to me not only his love of the North Woods, but also his pursuit of excellence in everything he did. He was not perfect, but close enough that I wish he was in the boat with me every time I'm on the water.
It is also dedicated to my two sons, Tim and Jake. Jake and I said goodbye when he was fourteen, due to a battle with bone cancer that finally took his life. As with my father, it seems there is always an empty seat in the boat that Jake should occupy. Tim, my oldest son, is now finding his way through life as an adult many miles away, but we actually do get to fish with each other every now and again. Both of my sons continue to be an inspiration to me in a way I'm sure neither of them could fully understand.
And finally, this site is dedicated to my wife Carol, who actually encourages me to risk all that is safe and logical to pursue those things that are not, like starting a rod building business. Thanks to all of you.
